About Emilia
Art has always been a big part of my life and who I am as a person. Growing up in a smaller school, drawing and creating became a big part of my everyday life, and my skills continued to improve each year.
Art always came naturally to me. My parents would beg me to take art classes, but I always refused. Instead, I became self-taught in every medium I tried, figuring things out on my own and discovering what worked best for me.
During COVID, I had the idea to start selling pet portraits to people and make a little money while being stuck inside all day. What started as a small idea quickly became the moment I realized that I could actually do something serious with my art and my talents.
As I continued taking on commissions, I eventually took my first art class during my senior year of high school. I tried oil painting and charcoal for the first time, but even then, I found myself teaching myself the techniques and ways of working that I liked best, while my teacher mostly watched me figure it out.
I love being able to switch between different mediums and create whatever I can envision. There is always something new to learn, and I’m excited to continue growing as an artist while sharing my work with others.
